Position Overview:

Keystone West is seeking a Business Development & Strategy Lead.  This position is a telework and can be based anywhere in the Continental United States (CONUS).

 

This person will work with senior Corporate leaders to identify and help carryout growth and profitability improvement initiatives for Keystone West Inc.  The position includes assessing the health and competitive positioning of the business. This individual will also play a central role in the annual Strategic Planning process and in articulating growth areas the corporation should consider.  A key part of this role is to develop and continually expand an opportunity pipeline, create new and manage existing customer relationships, and 

 

The Business Development & Strategy Lead will also be responsible for recruiting talent to fill existing and new opportunities.  As a remote employee, flexibility is a perk, but this person will be expected to perform at the highest level and have the professional presence to be able to communicate and operate comfortably and efficiently with senior executives when required. Additionally, this position requires someone that is self driven and proactive.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify growth opportunities and priorities

  • Create formal Strategic Plan documents for corporate leadership to review and approve

  • Work with Business Leaders, both Large and Small, to identify growth platforms and build and manage an opportunity pipeline

  • Research companies that fit with our growth priorities and strategies

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of Keystone West's core markets, business goals, and competitors

  • When Proposal work is required, act as the book boss to ensure Keystone West deliverables

  • Recruiting Functions such as:

    • Resume Review​

    • Candidate contact

    • Candidate Interview

 

Position Criteria:

  • Strong time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects at one time

  • Effective leading both junior and senior-level groups

  • Ability to quickly assess contract opportunities and communicate the key strategic value elements, areas of synergy, key risks and Win Themes

  • Professional presence to be able to communicate and operate comfortably and efficiently with senior executives

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills, and industry research platforms

  • Travel as necessary for project work approximating 60% of work time

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four years working in the Business Development arena with concentration on Department of Defense Contracts

  • An understanding of the Government Proposal Process

  • Familiarity with FedBizOps.gov or similar search tools and ability to filter out and review opportunities that match Keystone West Core Competencies

 

Education:

An undergraduate degree is required.  A Master’s degree is preferred

 

Compensation:

This role as a critical position within the corporation. Compensation will consist of a package including a base salary, employee incentive compensation, and complete benefits.

 

Location:

This position is Telework and can be based anywhere in the CONUS. It is preferred that the candidate live in or around the Southwestern United States so they are closer proximity to the Corporate Headquarters.
